GRS 002-412 Cast Iron 6 Inch Lap

GRS now offers a superb 6" cast iron lap that puts an exceptionally fine, long-lasting finish on gravers and small tools—especially carbide. This precision-ground lap is made from a specific grade of cast iron that delivers polishing advantages even modern abrasive media can’t match. Both faces are identically prepared, giving you the service life of two laps in one.

Specifications

Use & Tips

• Charge lightly with 1 µm diamond spray and allow the carrier to flash off before honing.
• Dress or wipe the surface clean between compounds to avoid contamination.
• For tool steel/HSS that tends to groove softer laps, consider a ceramic lap for heavy use.
