The GRS ready option is an add-on modification to your custom made John Frei workbench. This option cannot be *retrofitted onto a built bench, and is only available on a custom order basis.
If you would like to add this optional feature to your John Frei Workbench, we will require 4 to 6 weeks before your bench can ship, as we will have a bench built up for you with this option from scratch. As with all of our optional features, once you add one, you may want to consider adding others, as your bench will truly be hand built for you.
The GRS ready option includes the 104.559 GRS modified mounting plate, replacing the 100 mm steel bench block that is normally installed on the John Frei Custom Workbench, and the 104.557 GRS fixed mounting plate, which is attached to the modified mounting plate.
*The GRS fixed mounting plate will fit onto the 2" thick butcher block top of the "as stock" John Frei Custom Workbench, but with only 4 of the 6 mounting screws that hold the fixed mounting plate on the bench, due to the standard steel bench block being in the way of the top 2 screws. Many customers have successfully mounted the GRS fixed mounting plate to the John Frei Custom Workbench in this manner, as the butcher block top is quite strong enough to hold the GRS plate with only 4 of the 6 screws.
