Product Details

Made in the USA round sterling silver half-hard wire sold by the troy ounce. Larger gauges (6–22 gauge) are sold in coils, while smaller gauges (24–30 gauge) are sold on spools to prevent kinking. Spooling costs more but ensures perfectly usable stock.

Temper Options

  • Half-Hard: Malleable, easy to bend, maintains shape under stress. Ideal for ear wires, findings, and structural work.
  • Dead-Soft: Extremely pliable and easy to bend. Best for wire wrapping and projects requiring flexibility (does not hold shape under stress). See 844-18DS for dead soft round sterling silver wire.

The higher the gauge number, the thinner the diameter. For example, 18 gauge is thinner than 16 gauge.
