Fancy Hearts Shaped Set of 5 Disc Cutters in Wood Box

Cut precise heart-shaped blanks from sheet metal with this set of five graduated heart disc cutters, stored in a fitted wood box. Designed for professional jewelers and metalsmiths, these cutters are manufactured from properly hardened tool steel with individually fitted punches and extremely close tolerances between each punch and its matching die hole. The result is clean, burr-minimized cuts with sharp, consistent edges across every size in the set.

These cutters work on soft precious and non-ferrous metals including gold, silver, copper, brass, and nickel silver up to 20 gauge thick. Use with a mallet on a rubber pad or mount in a hydraulic press for production work. Made in India.

How to Use a Disc Cutter

1. Place the disc cutter on top of a rubber pad for support.
2. Apply a cutting lubricant such as Stay Sharp to the cutting edges of the punch.
3. Use a suitable mallet — a brass mallet is recommended. Never use a nail-driving hammer.
4. Support the opposite side of the cutter with a sheet of the same diameter metal being cut to maintain alignment and minimize material sticking.
5. Do not exceed the maximum recommended metal thickness for the cutter.
6. Cut only soft non-ferrous metals such as brass, copper, silver, and gold.
7. Ensure cutting edges are facing down before striking.
8. To prevent rust, keep the cutter lubricated between uses and store in a dry location.
9. Use with a 95 durometer urethane pad to extend cutter life.
