Hi Temperature Platinum Suitable Standard 8.5 mm Orifice Type D-Casting Crucible-220 DWT Capacity*

This is the Type D Hi Temperature casting crucible with the 8.5 mm diameter standard size orifice.  We also sell a 12.5 mm diameter larger orifice hi temperature casting crucible with the same outer dimensions and capacity, see our part number 122.474. 

These crucibles are used for high temperature melting of platinum and dental alloys. They are  use in vertical casting machines like the Torit vertical casting machine, the Wizzard vertical casting machine and the Platinum vertical casting machine.

While you cannot buy a brand new vertical casting machine, you can still buy this popular high temperature crucible to use with one.

This standard orifice type D high temperature casting crucible has been tested extensively and works well for casting high temperature metals like platinum and dental alloys. 


Measures 3-5/16" long by 2-3/8" at the widest point by 2-1/4" tall. Base measures 2" wide tapering to 1-11/16" by 3-5/16" in length.
