Hydroflux Flux DRY (SAFE TO SHIP) Contains Boric Acid

Boric Acid in its powdered form is not a hazardous item. This 1 quart container contains the correct amount of powdered boric acid to be mixed with 1 quart of methanol (methyl alcohol) to be used in the Hydroflux water welder.

The alcohol is a hazardous shipping item and should be sourced locally. The use of the methanol/boric acid mixture in a Hydroflux welder is recommended when working with most metals including all gold and silver alloys. If you are using your Hydroflux welder for platinum work, you can run you welder without the methanol/boric acid mixture. When used without the methanol/boric acid flux mixture the maximum temperature of the Hydroflux flame is 4850oF (2675oC). When use with the methanol/boric acid flux mixture the maximum temperature of the Hydroflux flame is 3485oF (1918oC).
