Set your preferred blade tension once with the fine knob, then flip the lever forward to release and back to return to the same tension. The rigid, heat-treated aluminum truss frame minimizes flex to reduce blade breakage and improve tracking on intricate pierce work.

How to Tension & Install Blades

1. Loosen both blade clamps; insert the blade with teeth pointing down and out.
2. Close the cam lever to tension; fine-tune with the knob until the blade “sings.”
3. For the next blade, flip the lever forward/back—no re-tuning needed unless blade size/length changes.

Fret vs. Coping (Blade Compatibility)

• Fret/Jeweler’s saws use shorter, un-pinned blades for tight turns and precision in metal or wood.
• Coping saws are larger and use pinned blades only—coping blades do not fit fret/jeweler’s frames.

Why Blade Tension Matters

Any frame saw exists to hold a fine, toothed “wire” tight and straight. Proper tension keeps the teeth cutting where you aim, not where material grain or burrs try to pull the blade—improving control, cut quality, and blade life.

Setup Tips & Troubleshooting

• If the lever resists closing, don’t force it—back off the fine knob slightly, then close.
• Blade slipping? Clean the clamp faces and re-align the anvil screw so the blade seats straight.
• Hands sensitive to small knobs? A slip-on foam grip (optional accessory) can increase handle diameter without weight.
• End of day: you can leave the blade taut, but flipping the lever to slacken for storage is quick and gentle on blades.
