This round double stitched 10" diameter leather sandbag is made of thick, heavy duty leather from camel hides.

 

Metal has been formed using sandbags exactly like these for millenniums.

 

Sandbags are a useful tool for gently moving metal. Place the metal being shaped on the sandbag and strike the metal with a planishing hammer or nylon forming hammer to shape or smooth the metal. Very useful for repair work when removing dents and imperfections. Also used for chasing applications. Imported from England.

 

These Sandbags are almost indestructible and sand never escapes. The bag will stretch and conform to hammer blows for one project and can be manipulated back into shape for the next project.
