The Metalartz 17 Degree Cone Template Layout Jig by David Baird takes the guesswork out of fabricating round, tapered bezels and prong settings. Designed to work specifically with 17-degree round bezel blocks, this template lets you determine the precise shape and size of metal to cut before you ever touch your shears or saw.
Place your round stone in the slot, and the template captures the correct arc shape required for a perfect setting. Transfer that arc to your metal using graphite tracing, a compass, or a piece of clear tape. The template also includes indexes to assist in laying out 4-prong and 6-prong heads, making it a versatile layout tool for both bezel and prong work. Directions are included.
