Dust and debris will be created while polishing, so use a dust collecting system and polishing hoods to capture debris. Your dust collecting system can be as simple as a shop vac, but more sophisticated systems can be cleaner, quieter, more powerful, and offer advanced filtering.
Warning: Always wear eye protection and a dust mask when polishing. Do not wear gloves while holding items against rotating buffs. Never wrap materials around fingers. Keep chains and loose clothing away from spindles and buffs. Do not touch rotating spindles—the threads are sharp at any speed. Seek professional instruction from a trained jeweler for proper polishing techniques.
