The Presidium MPIREM Inside Ring Engraving Machine is a compact, precision-built diamond drag scratch engraver designed for inside ring engraving. Based on a time-tested design used by jewelers and engravers for over 60 years, this machine delivers the same reliable performance as classic inside ring engravers while taking up significantly less bench space and offering improved portability.
Unlike lower-quality copies on the market, the Presidium MPIREM features first-class fit and finish with precision-cut and finished dials that deliver a smooth, consistent glide with the tracer — exactly what you need when engraving a customer's heirloom ring.
The machine uses a circular dial system for block lettering engraving. The included 2-sided single-line block dial features large upper case slanted type on one side and smaller upper case non-slanted type on the other. This is a fixed-ratio engraving machine, meaning engraving height is determined by the character height on the dial in use. The included dial produces diamond scratch engraving at either 1mm or 2mm in height on the inside of a ring, depending on which side of the dial is used.
While engraving height is not adjustable, letter spacing can be controlled using the ratcheting advance mechanism, giving the engraver precise control over character placement.
The MPIREM accommodates virtually any ring size and shape through its adjustable 3-way ring holding system, making it a versatile everyday workhorse for professional jewelers.
