Garnet is actually a set of closely related minerals that make up the Garnet group. While all of the minerals have the same crystal structure, they can vary in chemical composition. Red is the most common and abundant color, but Garnet has been found in almost every color, including oranges and browns to bright greens. Garnet can found in metamorphic rock on every continent and was said to have been used as a lamp on Noah's ark. Clean with warm soapy water. Use of ultrasonic is usually safe.
