Green Quartz — also known as Prasiolite and sold under the trade name Greened Amethyst — is a member of the Quartz family produced by heat-treating Amethyst until its color shifts to a transparent green. Naturally occurring Green Quartz is exceptionally rare; in nature, the color ranges from yellowish green to mint green. These round faceted stones offer jewelers a beautiful, affordable green stone option with excellent clarity and consistent color.
To maintain the stone's appearance, clean with warm, soapy water only. Avoid steam cleaners. Ultrasonic cleaning is generally considered safe for this stone.
