Round Millgrain tools are used by stone setters to dress up or decorate stone settings. They are also available in a Oval shape, which is more popular. The effect of the small, uniform depressions made by a Millgrain wheel helps make the stone look larger and brighter. Not to be confused with the larger decorative tools commonly used on a lathe for making the decorative edge of a wedding band, these stone setting Millgrain tools are extremely small and would be of very little help for such a use.
