Rubber Bench Filing Block-In Cast Iron Clamp

This little addition to my bench has been a blessing! When I first attached it to the side of my bench I sort of forgot it was there. It’s to my left and kind of out of my line of vision. But when I needed a no-slide surface to file something that was extremely delicate and suddenly remembered my rubber bench block! Now I use it all the time! I’ve actually made a few cutouts in it so that it somewhat resembles my wooden bench block that I normally use for sawing. If you don’t have one you really should give it a shot. They’re not expensive and totally worth it! Oh, and, they can be mounted to your bench! This was a huge plus for me as I put a lot of pressure against mine. Give it a go.. why not?
