Setting Making Jig With 5 Grooved Heads

Make your own custom prong settings! The Setting Making Jig has five different grooved heads with slots to make perfectly aligned three, four, six or eight prong settings. The large head has eight slots, two heads have six slots each and two heads have 4 slots each. With this claw setting jig, wire settings can be made in sizes from 15 point (0.15ct)  to 2 carat (2.00ct). Also included is a metal base with 4 sleeves, all packed in a wood box.

This jig is used for laying out the wires to make a setting. One method of use is to use an instant glue to hold the wires in place (be sure not to glue the wires onto the jig), and then you can remove the glued together setting to solder.
You could also use this jig with a laser welder or a tack welder, like a PUK or Orion welders, or solder with a torch.
