Product Details

Sterling silver "Inverted Heart" gallery wire is made in Israel from equipment manufactured in Germany during the 1920's.  The entire factory moved to Israel from Germany in the 1950's, where a family business continues to produce this beautiful gallery wire for your jewelry creations.

This "Inverted Heart" design is very similar to the "Crown" design (see part number 844-701 for the Crown design) but it is different. The Crown design sits on a beaded base, where the Inverted Heart has a smooth base. This Inverted Heart design is 4.5 mm tall, while the Crown is slightly shorter at 4.0 mm.

Sterling Silver "Inverted Heart" Gallery Wire 4.5 mm x 0.70 mm 12" Lengths.  Approximate weight: 3.8 grams per foot.

Order 2 units or more and we will send you one continuous piece 24" long or longer unless you tell us otherwise in the comment field when ordering.

All of our gallery wire has a hard (as rolled) temper. The temper however can vary from batch to batch. Because of it's hardness it is delicate and should be handled with care.  Hard wire does not bend readily but it will hold its shape after forming. You can change the temper by annealing it or by heat hardening it.

Products Notes:
This wire is hard and not annealed. As sold, this wire performs better for shaping stone settings, but if you bend or wrap this wire extensively you can damage it.  If you intend to bend or wrap this wire extensively, please anneal it first.  Simply flux the wire, heat it to a dull red, then quench it in pickle as soon as it cools below the red color.  This wire may have sharp or rough edges as manufactured. Finishing may be required.  This product can naturally tarnish.  Exposure to sunlight, humidity and salt water will increase tarnishing.  Take steps to protect your sterling silver by keeping it in airtight packages and use tarnish strips. Most tarnish is easily removed by polishing with a mild abrasives or by soaking in an anti-tarnish solution.
