Maintenance Tip: The Sil-Air 100-24 uses a specially formulated hygroscopic compressor oil that helps draw moisture from the air during compression. Change the oil regularly based on usage and shop humidity — if the oil appears milky white, it should be changed immediately. Check and empty the moisture trap at the output regulator when full. After each use, release compressed air from the tank to prevent condensation buildup, which can cause internal rust over time. These routine steps will protect the compressor's internal components and extend the life of the tank.
