The Swiss Torch is engineered to function as four torches in one. It operates as a repair torch with a Hoke-style head familiar to North American jewelers, a microhead torch with hypodermic tips for precise work, a platinum torch with a specialized tip capable of producing hotter flames for melting and casting small amounts of platinum, and a casting torch compatible with oxy/gas or compressed air/gas heads.
The micro tips rotate on the side of the micro head, allowing the flame to be positioned anywhere within a 360-degree arc. The three included hypodermic needle tips generate small, extremely precise flames suited to intricate metalwork. Replacement tips are available separately.
The Swiss Torch works best with propane or natural gas. It is not compatible with acetylene. The Micro Head is compatible with propane, natural gas, or hydrogen.
