The RinGenie™ is a money making time saver invented by a jeweler who sets engraves and sets stones for a living.
This is the new RinGenie Basic Kit that allows you to do all the setting and engraving work that a bench jeweler might come across doing everyday trade work. The items removed from the Master Kit to make the Basic kit are the Drill/Mill/Layout assembly, the Drill Guide, the Pointer and the set of 16 aluminum collets. The set of 8 expandable collets handle most jobs, and the other parts are related to layout and drilling of holes for making anniversary rings, more of a manufacturing job.
What you get here are just the basic tools needed to take care of most jobs a typical trade jeweler might come across. If you ever wish to add the removed tools you can certainly do that in the future.
The RinGenie™ helps jewelers with a variety of tasks, allowing for precision and speed in accomplishing the typical stone setting and engraving tasks that a professional bench jeweler encounters daily. The RinGenie™ is a precision tool made in the USA out of aircraft quality brushed aluminum. You can use it mounted in an engraving block, vise or a GRS BenchMate when used with the optional GRS BenchMate Attachment. Mount your ring using one of the included collets and you will have fine incremental settings with 360 degree rotation. Lock down using the thumb screw and your ring is securely held for stone setting or engraving.
The optional Mill/Drill/Layout Assembly can be quickly attached to allow for precision layout by simply pushing down the spring loaded punch that marks the metal for hand drilling. An optional Angle Layout Assembly will do the same thing but pivots side to side for marking the sides of domed rings. Use the optional Side Helper for holding rings face up or down to work on the sides of rings.
