Thermo-Loc Sticks and Teflon Pad Starter Kit

Thermo-Loc is a reusable, U.S.-made work-holding polymer that is rigid at room temperature and becomes pliable when warmed. It’s ideal for securing irregular or delicate items—rings, bracelets, knife or gun parts, small hardware—so you can engrave, set, carve, file, or finish with both hands free. Supplied as convenient 6" (150 mm) sticks in a neutral medium gray to reduce eye strain. Non-toxic and biodegradable.

How to Use — Heat • Mold • Hold

1. Heat Thermo-Loc until pliable: microwave in short bursts, use an electric heat gun, warm oven, hot water, or similar low-temperature method.
2. Mold around the workpiece while soft, leaving a clear removal path.
3. Hold securely as it cools to room temperature; it grips by close fit (not adhesive).
4. Reheat & reuse as needed.

Heating Methods & Safety

• Begins to soften around ~145°F (63°C); exercise caution above ~180°F (82°C).
• Microwave: Heat on the included PTFE pad in ≤20-second bursts only; stay with the microwave while heating.
• Do not use open flame (no torches). Avoid overheating; let material cool before handling if overheated.
• Heat gun, warm oven (approx. 160–200°F / 71–93°C), or hot water are acceptable alternatives.
