The Thumler’s Tumbler Model A-R2 is a continuous-duty double-barrel rotary tumbler designed for long, unattended runs. Each molded rubber barrel holds up to 3 lb, allowing you to process two batches at once for burnishing, cut-down, or lapidary work. Made in the USA by Tru-Square Metal Products (Thumler’s), stock number 114.

How to Use

  • Burnishing: Fill each barrel with stainless steel shot, water, and a small amount of burnishing compound. Run for several hours to brighten and work-harden parts.
  • Cut-Down: Use appropriate plastic or ceramic media with detergent compounds for more aggressive material removal.
  • Lapidary: Run staged silicon carbide grits followed by cerium oxide for polishing stones.
