The Thumler’s Tumbler Model A-R1 is a compact, continuous-duty rotary tumbler for jewelry and lapidary work. Its molded rubber barrel (3 lb capacity) runs quietly while slowly and consistently burnishing, deburring, or cutting surfaces over extended cycles. Made in the USA by Tru-Square Metal Products (Thumler’s), manufacturer stock no. 103.

How to Use

• Burnishing: Fill with stainless steel shot, water, and a small amount of burnishing compound. Run for several hours to work-harden and brighten.
• Cut-Down: Use appropriate plastic or ceramic media with a detergent compound for more aggressive surface refinement.
• Lapidary: Run stages with silicon carbide grits, then polish with cerium oxide.
