Product Details

The Thumler's Tumbler Model A-R2 Double Barrel Small Rotary Tumbler Kit is a professional-grade mass finishing solution designed to reduce labor-intensive hand finishing. Built to run continuously, this double barrel rotary tumbler works slowly and methodically through long production cycles, making it ideal for burnishing metal jewelry, cutting down surfaces, or polishing rocks.

Fill each barrel with steel shot and detergent to burnish and work-harden metal pieces, or load plastic media with detergent for aggressive cut-down. Each barrel holds up to 3 lbs of media. This kit is Thumler's stock number 114, Model A-R2, manufactured by Tru-Square Metal Products in the USA. Operates on 110V/60Hz.

Notes

About Rotary Tumbling: Rotary tumbling is a proven mass finishing technique for burnishing or cutting surfaces. Results develop over several hours or days, making it the slowest of all mass finishing methods, but it offers the greatest capacity for cost. Use steel media with detergent to burnish and work-harden pieces, or plastic media with detergent for aggressive cut-down.

Best for: Shining and burnishing metal surfaces.

Limitations: Slowest mass finishing technique. Not recommended for final polish on broad, flat surfaces.
