Items to be cleaned in an ultrasonic should never sit on the bottom of the tank.  They should always be suspended from a rack or held in a mesh tray. These small 5" x 4" stainless steel mesh baskets will clip on the side of just about any size ultrasonic.  Available in a fine mesh or extra fine mesh.

 

The extra fine mesh basket is made to trap the smallest stones from accidently falling into the ultrasonic tank.
