The Whaley Ring Gauge helps jewelers quickly measures the approximate amount of metal stock needed to make a ring. Jay Whaley has built a very useful ring ruler gauge that first measures the thickness of the metal stock. Once the gauge has the thickness, you can then lay the metal stock out and get a the precise length that your stock should be cut. The gauge also has a saw blade guide so your cuts can be made straight and true, so when you bend your stock you will get perfectly flat surfaces for joining.
