Each brush in the kit is assembled from 6 individual 3M radial bristle discs mounted on a 2-piece plastic tapered spindle mount configured for right-hand use on a jeweler's polishing lathe. The tapered spindle mount is designed to fit the tapered spindles traditionally found on jewelers' polishing lathes, making these brushes a direct, tool-ready solution for bench polishers and metalsmiths.

Moving through the seven grits — from aggressive stock removal down to ultra-fine finishing — allows for a systematic, controlled surface refinement process on metal workpieces.
