Notes
Cut a length of cord and secure one end at your bench. Hold the other end taut and move the workpiece back and forth against the abrasive surface. Aluminum Oxide and Silicon Carbide are intended for pre-polishing; Crocus cords are used for final polishing. In this range, 120 grain is the coarsest and 200 grain is the finest.
