Mitchell's Abrasive Round Cord is designed for polishing and pre-polishing in tight, hard-to-reach areas such as around prongs, galleries, and detailed settings. The flexible round profile conforms to contours while allowing precise control when held taut between the bench and hand. Available in multiple diameters and grits, these cords provide efficient material removal and surface refinement in confined spaces.

Notes

Cut a length of cord and secure one end at your bench. Hold the other end taut and move the workpiece back and forth against the abrasive surface. Aluminum Oxide and Silicon Carbide are intended for pre-polishing; Crocus cords are used for final polishing. In this range, 120 grain is the coarsest and 200 grain is the finest.
