Status (February 2025): Attack Glue Dissolving Compound is no longer available. The primary active ingredient, methylene chloride (dichloromethane), has been banned by the EPA. The manufacturer is currently developing an alternative formulation.
Attack was a professional-grade glue dissolving compound used to separate misaligned materials and remove cured adhesives from a wide range of surfaces. It was effective on cured epoxy, polyester resins, and Jett Basic-Plastiform, making it a valuable solution for jewelers working with metal, stone, glass, wood, undrilled pearls, quartz, and coral. Not suitable for use on plastics, amber, or ammolite.
