Otto Frei Plumb White Gold Solders are manufactured to the same gold content as marked — meaning a solder labeled 14K contains the true plumb standard of .585 (14K) gold. Unlike repair solders, which are intentionally formulated below karat mark for easier flow, these plumb solders are designed for manufacturing applications where strict gold quality standards must be maintained. Note that plumb solders flow at higher relative temperatures than their repair solder counterparts.
Available in 14K, 18K, and 19K white gold formulations, these solders span a range of flow temperatures and grades — from Extra Easy through Hard and Weld — giving jewelers precise control over sequential soldering operations. All formulas are cadmium free and nickel based.
