Reach for a plumb gold solder when a seam has to carry the same karat as the metal around it. These yellow gold plumb solders are made to the plumb standard, so the gold content matches the karat mark: 14K solders are .585 gold and 18K solders are .750 gold. All of them are 100% cadmium free.

Unlike repair solders, which use a lower gold content for easier flow, plumb solders are built for manufacturing applications where holding true gold quality matters. Because they carry that full gold content, they flow at higher temperatures than repair solders, which suits jewelers who need strength, integrity, and compliance with gold standards. Each piece weighs approximately 1 DWT.

Off color

This solder is a lot lighter than any of my 14k jewelry. Repairs are blatently obvious and look like garbage. This gold solder is "Super light" like they needed more copper in it... Dissapointed
