A shallow hart bur cuts the seat a stone beds into with a flatter, more controlled geometry than a standard hart profile, for setting work where a deep bearing would take away too much metal. Busch Fig. 446 Shallow-Hart 70 degree burs do that job in 14 sizes from 1.00mm to 3.70mm, precision ground from tungsten vanadium steel to ultra high precision tolerances, the benchmark standard in the jewelry trade.
