Nechamkin Chasing Tools Specialty Matting Tools 4 Piece Set

Inspired by the finely made French matting tools crafted in Paris during the 19th century, this 4-piece specialty matting set from Nechamkin is designed to cover a wide range of chasing work. The set complements matting tools K1 and K2 found in the Nechamkin 25-piece set (Otto Frei part no. 125.285). Tools K3 and K5 accommodate small pattern work and tight areas, while K4 and K6 excel at medium and large pattern work as well as broad open areas within smaller designs.

Nechamkin Chasing Tools are formed from W1 tool steel with tips heat treated in a controlled environment to ensure consistent Rockwell hardness. The 4.25" (108mm) square shanks feature soft chamfered corners and a satin finish for superior comfort and tool control. Each tool face is precisely shaped and polished to travel smoothly across metalwork, and long, balanced tapers provide excellent sightlines down to the working face. Every tool is individually numbered for easy identification.

The set is housed in a durable stainless steel container with a non-marking Delrin™ lid and bottom, designed with room to expand your tool collection.
