Handle Only-Disc Cutter Set of 10-1/8" to 1-1/4"

Replacement handle for the previous generation of item 125.1790, the Disc Cutter Set of 10 (1/8" to 1-1/4"). Note that the current generation of 125.1790 has been redesigned and no longer uses this handle. This replacement handle may fit other similar disc cutters that use a comparable handle design, but compatibility is not guaranteed.

Otto Frei stocks this replacement handle by customer request, as handles on disc cutter sets can be accidentally broken by a misdirected hammer blow. If you own the previous-generation set and need a replacement, this is the part to order.

Disc Cutter Usage Guidelines

1. Use a cutting lubricant, such as Stay Sharp, to lubricate the cutting edges of the punch before use.
2. Use a suitable mallet only — never a nail-driving hammer. A brass mallet is recommended.
3. Always support the opposite side of the cutter with a sheet of metal of the same diameter as the material you are cutting. This keeps the upper and lower parts of the disc cutter in alignment and minimizes material sticking.
4. Do not exceed the maximum thickness recommended for your disc cutter.
5. Only cut soft, non-ferrous metals such as brass, copper, silver, and gold.
6. Ensure cutting edges are facing down before striking.
7. To prevent rust, keep your disc cutter lubricated between uses and store in a dry location.
