Notes

How to use a disc cutter:

1. Place the disc cutter on top of a rubber pad for support.
2. Apply a cutting lubricant, such as Stay Sharp, to lubricate the cutting edges of the punch.
3. Use a suitable mallet — never a nail-driving hammer. A brass mallet is recommended.
4. Always support the opposite side of the cutter with a sheet of the same diameter metal being cut. This keeps the upper and lower parts in alignment and helps minimize material sticking.
5. Do not exceed the maximum recommended thickness (20 gauge) for these cutters.
6. Only cut soft non-ferrous metals such as brass, copper, silver, and gold.
7. Ensure cutting edges are facing down before striking.
8. To prevent rust, keep cutters lubricated between uses and store in a dry location.
9. Use with a 95 durometer urethane pad to extend the life of the cutters.
