Notes
How to use a disc cutter:
- Use a disc cutter on top of a rubber pad for support.
- Apply a cutting lubricant, such as Stay Sharp, to the cutting edges of the punch.
- Use a suitable mallet—never a nail-driving hammer. Brass mallets are recommended.
- Always support the opposite side of the cutter with a sheet of the same diameter metal being cut to keep upper and lower parts in alignment and minimize material sticking.
- Do not exceed the maximum thickness recommended for your disc cutter.
- Only cut soft non-ferrous metals such as brass, copper, silver, and gold.
- Ensure cutting edges are facing down before use.
- To prevent rust, keep the disc cutter lubricated between uses and store in a dry location.
- Use with a 95 durometer urethane pad to extend the life of the cutters.
