These brass tube forms from Fretz are purpose-built blanks for jewelers and metalsmiths who regularly work with domed or formed tube components. Designed by Bill Fretz in response to consistent demand from professional makers, these seamless tube forms arrive pre-cut, edge-cleaned, annealed, and tumble-finished — ready to work straight from the pack.

Fretz uses seamless extruded tubing made from a malleable brass alloy of 70% copper and 30% zinc. After cutting to size, each blank is cleaned up on a belt sander, then annealed and given a basic tumbled finish for immediate workability.

Keep in mind: when making convex (domed) forms, doming will reduce the diameter of the finished piece. When making concave forms, the finished diameter will not be affected.
