Glardon-Vallorbe LF0504-M Ceramic Fiber Files-Flat-.5mm x 4mm x 100mm

The Glardon-Vallorbe LF0504-M ceramic fiber files are precision-made pillar (flat) shaped sticks designed for finishing and polishing hard-to-reach areas in metalsmithing and jewelry work. Measuring just 0.5mm thick by 4.0mm wide by 100mm (approximately 4 inches) in length, these ultra-thin sticks excel at reaching into tight corners, narrow grooves, and confined spaces where conventional files cannot go.

These ceramic fiber files can be used whole by hand or broken off to create small custom tools for use with the Badeco 8LC100 micro polishing and filing handpiece (compatible with a flex shaft) or the Badeco 4LC100 for use with a Badeco micromotor system. The pillar shape makes them particularly effective for working inside corners and other detail areas requiring precise material removal or surface refinement. Files can also be reshaped using diamond dressing stones or wheels to customize the profile for specific applications.

Available in seven grits ranging from Extra Extra Coarse (220) through Fine (1200), allowing progression through stock removal and finishing stages with a single file family. Grit descriptions (Extra Extra Coarse through Fine) are subjective and are used to help differentiate between the products.
