Pillar files are parallel in width and tapered in thickness, making perfectly flat filing possible with consistent, controlled results. The Pillar Regular 3 Sides Cut configuration features double-cut teeth on the top and bottom faces, with one edge left safe (no cut) to protect adjacent surfaces during precision work. Measurements are given at the thickest point of the file.
Glardon-Vallorbe Swiss Made Precision Files are manufactured to exacting production standards, combining machine cutting with hand craftsmanship to produce some of the most accurate, best-cutting, and longest-lasting files available. Made from finest heat-tempered chrome alloy steel, they offer the right feel, action, and balance demanded by professional jewelers, metalsmiths, and watchmakers.
