Glardon-Vallorbe Rounding Off Escapement Files - LE3012

Glardon-Vallorbe Rounding Off Escapement Files (LE3012) are Swiss made precision files designed for watchmakers and jewelers who need controlled filing on curved or recessed surfaces. The rounding off profile is shaped like a half-round file but cuts only on the convex (bottom) face — the top rounded edge is safe with no cut, and the parallel sides do not taper. This geometry allows you to work inside curves or along edges without risk of marring adjacent surfaces.

Escapement file length is measured from the tip to the end of the cut area only — the tang and handle are not included in that measurement. Dimensions given are at the thickest point of the file. These files are also commonly referred to as watchmakers files.
