Current price $2.15

The Pear Shape Graver Handle is a classic, hand-crafted wood handle designed to provide a comfortable, secure grip for engravers and stonesetting work. Shaped to fit naturally in the hand, this handle features pre-drilled guide holes to ease the fitting of a graver tang, and both ends are reinforced with metal ferrules to secure the graver and prevent the wood from splitting under pressure.

Because this is a hand-made natural wood product, size and color may vary from piece to piece — each handle carries its own character.

Fitting Your Graver

There are two common methods for fitting a graver to this handle:

  1. Heat Method: Heat the tang of the graver until red hot, then press it firmly into the guide hole. The hot tang burns a precise, custom fit directly into the wood.
  2. Drill & Grind Method: Use a drill to slightly enlarge the guide hole, then grind the graver tang to a point sized to fit. Place a wood block over the graver tip to protect it, then hammer the tang into the handle.

Features

  • Pear-shaped wood body for a comfortable, natural feel in hand
  • Pre-drilled guide holes to simplify graver fitting
  • Metal ferrules on both ends for durability and to prevent splitting
  • Hand-made from natural wood — size and color may vary
