Grobet Regular Pillar Precision Files are parallel in width and tapered in thickness, making perfectly flat filing achievable with consistent, controlled results. The double-cut top and bottom surfaces deliver efficient material removal, while both edges are safe — allowing work right up to a shoulder or step without marring adjacent surfaces.
Starting in 2015, Grobet Swiss Pattern Precision Files have been manufactured in Italy. If you require genuine Swiss Made precision files, those are now sold in the United States under the Glardon-Vallorbe name. Files marked "Swiss Made" were produced by Glardon-Vallorbe of Switzerland. The Glardon-Vallorbe equivalent to these Grobet Italian pillar files is the LP1132, available from Otto Frei in many more sizes and cuts than offered in this Grobet line.
Available in 6" (150mm) and 8" (200mm) lengths — lengths do not include the handle section (tang) — and in a range of cuts from Coarse to Extra Fine. Not all cuts are available in all lengths.
