The Grobet USA Barrette Precision File is tapered in both width and thickness, coming to a point at the tip. Only the flat side is cut, providing a safe edge and safe top — ideal for filing in tight areas without marring adjacent surfaces. These files are double cut and are well suited for detail work at the bench.
Available in three lengths and multiple cuts, these Italian-made files offer versatility across a range of metalsmithing and jewelry fabrication tasks. Note that not all cuts are available in all lengths. Lengths listed do not include the handle section (tang).
Starting in 2015, Grobet Swiss Pattern Precision Files are made in Italy. If you are looking for genuine Swiss-made precision files, they are now sold as Glardon-Vallorbe Precision Files.
