Grobet USA Slim Pillar Precision Files are parallel in width and tapered in thickness, making perfectly flat filing achievable with consistent, controlled results. Double cut on both the top and bottom faces, with both edges left safe — ideal for working in confined areas without marring adjacent surfaces. Also referred to as Narrow Pillar files.

Starting in 2015, Grobet Swiss Pattern Precision Files transitioned to Italian manufacture. If you require genuine Swiss Made precision files, those are now sold in the United States under the Glardon-Vallorbe name — if your files are marked "Swiss Made," they were produced by Glardon-Vallorbe of Switzerland. The Glardon-Vallorbe Slim Pillar file LP1142 is the file these Grobet Italian files are patterned after and is available in a broader range of sizes and cuts. Other pillar-shape variations from Glardon-Vallorbe are also available through OttoFrei.
