The Busch Fig 446AU Carbide 70 Degree Hart Burs are precision-engineered tools designed specifically for cutting seats in prongs. This complete kit includes 15 burs in a plastic storage box, covering sizes from 0.90mm through 2.30mm in 0.10mm increments — giving jewelers and stone setters the full range needed for consistent, accurate prong seat work.
Carbide burs are the longest-lasting burs available, outlasting both tungsten vanadium and high-speed steel burs. They perform exceptionally on the toughest metals — including platinum, titanium, and steel — while also delivering dramatically extended service life on standard gold alloys. Their advanced blade geometry, typically found only on steel tools, is achieved through state-of-the-art manufacturing in Germany.
