A hang-up flex shaft motor mounts above the bench and sends rotary power down a flexible shaft to the handpiece in your hand, so you can cut, drill, grind, and polish with both hands free to hold the work. The Foredom K.8300SR flex shaft system is the classic SR hang-up setup: a 1/6 HP reversible M.SR motor, a C.FCT-1 variable-speed foot control, and your choice of professional handpiece, or the motor and control on their own if you already have handpieces. Smooth, foot-controlled torque lets jewelers, metalsmiths, and repair shops feel each cut, grind, and polish with confidence.
The M.SR motor is rated at 1/6 HP, runs on 115V, and varies from a standstill up to 18,000 RPM under the C.FCT-1 foot control. Its ball-bearing construction holds power without stalling under normal load, and the motor reverses, which helps left-handed users, extends abrasive life, aids symmetrical grinding, speeds polishing, and backs out stuck drill bits.

Compatibility

Notes
- Caution: When using screw-top mandrels with unmounted polishing wheels, the reverse feature may unscrew the mandrel. Use only pre-mounted polishing wheels when operating in reverse.
- The same M.SR motor is also offered with the C.SCT-1 cast iron foot control and with the C.EM-1 and C.EMF-1 dial controls.
- Every Foredom motor carries a two-year warranty.
