Glardon-Vallorbe is the one and only manufacturer of files in Switzerland: if a file is marked Swiss Made, it was made by Glardon-Vallorbe of Vallorbe, Switzerland. Valtitan files are original quality Glardon-Vallorbe files that have undergone an additional proprietary treatment to increase their Rockwell hardness. That extra hardness makes them exceptionally effective on platinum and other hard metals, while the Valtitan treatment also makes the files easier to clean and maintain at the bench. For jewelers working demanding materials day in and day out, these represent the finest Swiss precision files available.

Note on tang identification: starting in 2016, Valtitan files are no longer produced with yellow painted tangs. The factory now imprints VALTITAN directly on the tang to identify Valtitan files.
