Description
A sintered diamond disc handles precise, consistent cutting and grinding in professional jewelry and metalsmithing work, and because the diamond runs through the whole disc rather than sitting on the surface, it continues to cut effectively as it wears down. This sintered diamond disc from Edenta Swiss measures 22.0mm in diameter by 0.60mm thick and mounts on a mandrel with a 3/32 in (2.35mm) shank diameter.
Unlike standard diamond coated stainless steel discs, sintered diamond discs are composed of carbide-bonded compressed diamond material—diamond throughout—so they do not lose a surface coating in use. These discs are rigid rather than flexible like coated steel alternatives, which makes them well suited to precise, controlled material removal. This disc is made from 100 micron (standard grit) diamond material.

Notes
Periodic maintenance is required to keep sintered diamond discs performing at their best. Use a dedicated cleaning stone, such as Edenta Cleaning Stone 110.406, to restore clean, sharp cutting edges. Cleaning is not needed frequently, but regular maintenance is important for optimal performance and longevity.
