Description

Build precise prong and channel seats with confidence using this 15-piece Swiss 70° Shallow Hart Bur Kit. Spanning 1.00mm to 3.50mm, this comprehensive set covers the most commonly needed sizes for stone-setting work and arrives ready to use in a round plastic storage holder.

Each bur in this kit is made from Swiss Tungsten Vanadium Steel, machine-manufactured to ultra-high precision tolerances. The result is a bur that cuts precious metal smoothly and cleanly, with no chatter or drag, and is uniformly consistent from piece to piece. Combined with Swiss steel hardening expertise, this line of burs is among the most trusted in the jewelry industry.

Features

  • 70° shallow hart geometry: designed specifically for cutting seats in prongs and channels for stone setting
  • Swiss Tungsten Vanadium Steel construction: machine-made to ultra-high precision tolerances for uniform, consistent performance
  • Cuts precious metal smoothly and cleanly with no chatter or drag
  • 3/32" diameter shafts: compatible with standard flex-shaft handpieces and rotary tools
  • 15 individual burs spanning 1.00mm to 3.50mm in graduated increments
  • Stored and organized in an included round plastic holder

Notes

Tungsten Vanadium vs. High Speed Steel (HSS). Tungsten Vanadium Steel burs are the most widely used burs in the jewelry industry. Machine-made to precise tolerances, they are uniformly consistent and deliver smooth, clean cuts in precious metal. High Speed Steel (HSS) burs are individually hand-cut, meaning no two are exactly alike. HSS burs, particularly USA-made versions, tend to last longer than Tungsten Vanadium burs. Tungsten Vanadium burs typically cost less than HSS burs.

This kit supplies fifteen burs and the holder:
