Pink gold solders are notoriously difficult to flow because of their high copper content. These 14KP and 18KP pink gold plumb solders represent a step forward, delivering easier flow compared to the previous generation of pink gold plumb solders, along with improved pink color matching. The 14K Pink Plumb solders are available in two tones — standard pink and darker tone pink. The 18K Pink Plumb solders are available in three temperature flows: easy, medium, and hard.
Plumb gold solders contain the same gold content as marked. Unlike repair solders — where gold content is intentionally lower than the mark for ease of use — these solders meet the plumb standard: 14K (.585) gold for 14KP variants and 18K (.750) gold for 18KP variants. Plumb solders are intended for manufacturing applications where gold quality standards must be maintained. Note that plumb solders flow at higher relative temperatures than repair solders.
All solders are cadmium free and sold by the DWT (pennyweight). Sheets weigh approximately 1 DWT each. There are 20 DWT to a troy ounce; 1 DWT equals approximately 1.55 grams. All weights are approximate.
